Henry Fayol was a theorist and researcher, who was born in Istanbul on July 29, 1841 into a bourgeois family, after a year of the culmination of the Industrial Revolution, so he had to live the consequences of this event.

In relation to his academic life, this researcher obtained his professional title in 1860, graduating as a civil mining engineer at 19 years of age. Upon completing his studies, he began to work directly at the Commentry Fourchambault Stock Company, a large mining and metallurgical company and it was where he worked his entire life.

With the passage of time, this engineer gradually rose within the company and when he turned 25, he obtained the position of manager of mines. After 22 years of work, the company appointed him CEO and he remained in that managerial position 30 years until he retired in 1918, leaving his successor in the company under optimal conditions and stable.

During his tenure as CEO, he made several changes that helped improve the labor system in the mines, Some of those changes were job transformation and the coordination of employees to work in team.

Fayol died at 84 years old and left two important works in writing, the most important was published in 1916, which he called Industrial and General Administration and in 1921, he wrote the book The Industrial Incapacity of the State and the Awakening of the Public Spirit.
