In addition to considering the number of hours of work, the effect of travel time from home to work centers, in many cities, due to increasing transportation congestion, workers spend up to 4 hours a day to mobilize.

There are some proposals that, when properly applied, could improve this situation:

1.- Establish staggered schedules: some workers could enter earlier or later than the established schedule, this would allow workers to accommodate a schedule more in accordance with your needs, prior coordination with your employer, also, it would have the effect of distributing the rush hours of traffic, reducing in general the congestion.

2.- Encourage home work: Some jobs do not require the worker to be always present at the workplace, this This possibility would allow reducing business costs by requiring smaller size of facilities, energy consumption, tools, services, security and others.

These and other measures would contribute to workers having more family time, greater motivation, lower expenses, companies would also benefit from the lower costs and have more motivated workers, with greater energy and productivity by avoiding the wear and tear caused by transport to and from the places of labors.

The country also benefits from reducing the demand for increasing investments for the expansion of public services such as roads, transportation public, sacrifice of green areas and loss of man hours, resources that could be used to provide the population with more and better services in the areas residential.
