"The vision is a statement that expresses the ultimate goals of the organization."

It is very important for any company to have a clear and achievable long-term vision; which will be the statement that guides each boss, executive, manager or employee in achieving the organizational objective. A vision statement goes hand in hand with the question What is the reason for our business? And it is usually a single sentence, an inspiring, memorable statement that expresses the desired long-term position of the company. Good vision motivates employees to go the extra mile and usually results in higher performance.

The vision statement also implies that resources, competencies and skills will be needed to achieve the future goal. In this way, decision-making and resource allocation are guided more efficiently and with a clear “north”.

What are the benefits of vision?

Not all visions are equally good. Some may be very generic or focus on financial goals and consequently demotivate employees. But if a company puts enough effort into the vision statement, the following benefits can be realized:

How do you write a vision?

Step 1: Assemble a team of managers, employees, and shareholders. The vision is a statement that must be understood from the management team to the employees (at all levels). As many people as possible should be brought together and should be involved in the vision statement process. After choosing the people who are going to participate, you should also distribute several brochures explaining what the vision of the organization is and ask everyone to read them in depth.

Step 2: Ask everyone to write their own version of the view. The next step is to ask everyone to write their own version of the vision and then present it to the responsible team. After receiving all the possible visions, the team should try to combine them all and generate a draft based on all the submissions. This is also a great opportunity to resolve any conflicting views on the ultimate goal of the company.

Step 3: Review the declaration and present the final version. The draft declaration must be distributed to all members again for their final review. Upon receipt of the votes, the final version of the vision must be printed and presented to all employees.
