How to channel frustration

The feeling of frustration connects with sadness. It is not a negative feeling but an unpleasant one, it makes us feel uncomfortable to the point that it may happen that a person does not know how to position themselves in the face of frustration. How to channel this inner sadness?

Against the tendency to repress a feeling of frustration it is especially recommended find a way to express that inner emptiness. For example, through writing by writing down your thoughts in a journal or even by writing a letter to a good friend in which you express what you feel.

Sadness can lead us to get hooked on that fact that is the focus of pain, therefore, a form of channeling sadness is to position yourself precisely, on the current day of your vital calendar: "Continue with your lifetime".

Write on paper what has hurt you in a special way and then tear that paper into very small pieces. It can be an exercise as an anchor to gain strength and leave behind your reason for pain.

How have you positioned yourself so far in relation to what happened? And how could you position yourself from now on? When we come across an obstacle, we can make a wall out of it, or on the contrary, find a way to jump over it: What can you do to jump over that barrier?

Close your eyes and imagine a happy ending that you would have liked to experience in relation to that focus of frustration. Enjoy that imagined moment as an impulse to move on.

One of the most therapeutic formulas to overcome frustration is to look for a concrete meaning to that experience, a meaning that helps you give it a deeper personal value by way of learning.
