1. Create false expectations

It is true that you always want the project to have a large-scale promotional scope, however, this cannot be done when you have a small budget. While companies require goals and dreams, leaders need to avoid false expectations and adjust to their current reality. This makes it clear what can actually be accomplished given time, resources and budget. That is, by recognizing limitations, you can reap unexpected benefits.

2. Pick the wrong team

It may be thought that putting an internal team to work on the company's project is the best choice to achieve the desired goals, However, just because someone is part of the company does not mean that he is the right person for that project in specific. The important point here is to be honest with yourself and with the employees and even, if necessary, look for an external work team to find the best people for the project.

3. Holding on to bad ideas

Although it is not always immediately recognized that a bad idea was had, once it is done it is a mistake to assume that it can be made to work or even believe that too much effort has been put into it to change course. Most likely, the initial approach of the project is wrong and that this only requires working together again and rethinking a new approach that this time guarantees success.

Enterprise projects often have multiple stakeholders in the results, who may have different goals and expectations. Failure to define a project manager runs the risk of potential conflict and disappointment as everyone will expect the changes to meet their individual needs. Even if your opinion is important, the project manager should be the one who has total control over the final product.
